Combine yoghurt with 2 tspn - haldi,red chilli, salt,garam masala, Juice of 2 lemons 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste & Marinate chicken pieces in this mixture for 2-4 hrs !!
In a small bowl mix 2 tbsp fennel seed powder, coriander pwdr 2 tspn black pepper pwdr, haldi pwdr ,salt in a bowl & keep aside(this is dry masala mixture)
Heat a kadhai/ vessel . Add ghee & oil. Add the curry leaves & let it splutter. Add chopped garlic & let it cook for few minutes.Add the marinated chicken . Stir well & add half cup water. Let it cook .
Now in another kadhai add 2 tbsp oil . Add the dry masala, tomato puree, brown onion paste & red chilli paste. Cook this for few minutes. Turn off the flame & add the mixture to the simmering chicken . Cover & cook for few minutes until chicken is done & oil floats on top.
Serve hot with parathas or steam rice !!
